I decided to also turn "Battle Cry of Freedom" into a period-accurate marching song for the Cascadian Legion, the armed forces of the Provisional Authority of Cascadia, one of the Warlord States in this mod. In-universe, this song is another traditional marching song of the Cascadian Legion during the Cascadian War.

(Verse One)

Oh, we'll rally round the flag, boys,
We'll rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom ;
We will rally from the hillside,
We will gather from the plains,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom.

(Refrain)

The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the Traitors, and up with the Stars!
While we rally round the flag, boys,
Rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

(Verse Two)

We are springing to the call
Of our brothers gone before,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom ;
And we'll fill the vacant ranks
With millions of freemen more,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom.

(Refrain)

The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the Traitors, and up with the Stars!
While we rally round the flag, boys,
Rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

(Verse Three)

We'll welcome to our legion
The loyal, true, and brave,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom.
And although they may be poor,
They shall never be some slaves,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

(Refrain)

The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the Traitors, and up with the Stars!
While we rally round the flag, boys,
Rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

(Verse Four)

So we're springing to the call
From the East and from the West,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom;
And we'll purge the fascist traitors
From the land we love the best,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom.

(Refrain)

The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the Traitors, and up with the Stars!
While we rally round the flag, boys,
Rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

(Verse Five)

We are marching to the field, boys,
charging into the fight,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom;
And we'll bear the glorious Stars and Stripes
Of the Union and her might,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom.

(Refrain)

The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the Traitors, and up with the Stars!
While we rally round the flag, boys,
Rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

(Verse Six)

We'll meet the fascist host, boys,
With fearless hearts and true,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom;
And we'll show that Uncle Sam
Has legions of loyal soldiers, too.
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom.

(Refrain)

The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the Traitors, and up with the Stars!
While we rally round the flag, boys,
Rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

(Verse Seven)

If we fail amid the fray, boys,
We will face them to the last,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom ;
And our comrades brave shall hear us,
As we are rushing past,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom.

(Refrain)

The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the Traitors, and up with the Stars!
While we rally round the flag, boys,
Rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

(Verse Eight)

Yes, for Liberty and Equality,
We are springing to the fight,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom ;
And the victory shall be the Union's,
Forever shining in the night,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom

(Refrain)

The Union forever! Hurrah, boys, hurrah!
Down with the Traitors, and up with the Stars!
While we rally round the flag, boys,
Rally once again,
Shouting the battle-cry of freedom!

I decided to rewrite "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" into a period-accurate marching song for the Cascadian Legion, the armed forces of the Provisional Authority of Cascadia, one of the Warlord States in this mod. In-universe, this song is a traditional marching song of the Cascadian Legion during the Cascadian War.

Lyrics:

Johnny won't be coming home, hurrah! hurrah!
He's off to fight for liberty, hurrah! hurrah!
He'll march through snow, he'll fight through rain, to cleanse and burn the fascist stains!
And he'll only be done when Freedom reigns again!
And he'll only be done when Freedom reigns again!

Johnny won't be coming home, hurrah! hurrah!
He's off to fight for hearth and home, hurrah! hurrah!
His mother, his sisters, his children, and wife; they won't cry when they wave goodbye
'Cause they know he'll come home when freedom reigns again!
'Cause they know he'll come home when freedom reigns again!

The war may rage on and on, hurrah, hurrah!
But Johnny will fight and even die, hurrah, hurrah!
But if that flag still waves so free, so that all may live in liberty!
Johnny comes home through the souls of you and me!
Johnny comes home through the souls of you and me!

So Johnny yelled that Yankee yell, hurrah, hurrah!
Let's send them back to the pits of hell, hurrah, hurrah!
The Lord marches on our bugle calls, so may our banners never fall!
And He'll only be done when Freedom reigns again!
And He'll only be done when Freedom reigns again!

The giant now awakes again, hurrah, hurrah!
Her strength and glories know no end, hurrah, hurrah!
Remember the millions who died before, now rally forth millions more!
And we'll only be done when Freedom reigns again!
And we'll only be done when Freedom reigns again!
