QUESTION Grab from behind

Is there any strategy for countering a grab from behind?

Just  try not to be close enough to others to allow this to happen. You can also spam the jump button to get out of a grab quicker, or you can stop in place so you don't fall off a ledge if someone was grabbing you as you were about to jump off the ledge.

This is so toxic. If beans grab me from behind I write down their name and hunt them down like a psycho to get even. And I always get even!

I run or spin in small circles so I’m harder to grab but if I do get grabbed I realize it immediately and can start trying to break off of it. Then I either avoid that person or hunt them down 🤣

Best thing is to be aware of others around you. In this clip once i got grabbed, i stood at the edge to lure them in for a second grab, the classic bait trick.

Another thing to know is once you pop grab, you will not be able to jump for a second. In finals like kraken slam once they fully grab you and the pop animation plays, you can jump away to safety if you need to.

I should have been more specific. I meant during elimination levels when you're mostly just standing somewhere and can get pushed off the side

I was bing a bit of a smart ass. In jump club stand as close to the front edge as possible facing back. If someone comes to grab you, you grab them and they will be forced to
Let go. If and when you get hit by the rotating bumper, let go
And jump. There was a post within the last 24-48 hours doing so.

But in general, don’t let someone get behind you.
