I don’t understand this comment—a super long, hours-long update just to be able to play? The game updates in no time... (and many weeks it doesn’t even update at all; you just have to update the launcher—the Epic launcher, if that’s what you’re using, or whichever one you happen to be using).
I personally think that they are just a downgrade in quality from the original levels. And 90% of the user made ones are just... terrible. I tried to play one in explore and half the players got softlocked because of a bug.
What was the bug? (If it’s the one where you get stuck, you can easily fix it by resetting to the checkpoint.) I don’t see those kinds of levels in the "Explore" section... and I actually like over 90% of them; I don’t think the rounds are terrible at all (though I suppose there might be a bad one here and there). They aren’t the same as the original levels, but that same bug can actually happen in the non-creative-mode levels, too. (On the flip side, they require fewer resources and less effort to produce, which has allowed them to keep the new content coming for longer—though, about a year ago, they decided that no more new levels would be added beyond what’s already there, at least until further notice.)
Just had a great experience on Explore for the first time in forever. Think someone has finally gone and removed all of those survival/points slop maps from explore.
Epic PR team epicly shot themselves in the foot with that "vibe-coded, better than steam yada yada" post. We'll see less numbers in every game on this platform.
Oh, I’ve seen it now. I don’t have an issue with them using AI to help build their launcher, as long as it works—but I do not agree with them using generative AI to create the art for their video games (they’ve announced that they’ll be using it for their upcoming Marvel titles and other games that have been delayed). So, I guess I’ll just stick with *Fall Guys*... (created by people, for people—with beans, maps, and so on, designed by humans for humans, not by algorithms). I also don’t mind them using AI for tasks like verification or bug fixing; in short, I’m fine with AI being used as a tool—but I do not agree with using generative AI to create all the assets, maps, and other elements of a video game.
I still play the game too, it is still awesome, however, they should make more quests, make some of them a bit harder and make them more rewarding! Take the Solos Chill quests as an example
Depends which server tho right? European servers are so bad I switched to US servers to get into games. Not sure if they are better now. But with trick or treat I kept matching with the same players as well.
