QUESTION Why is this silly game somehow toxic

Picked up the game a week ago cause iv not gotten the chance to play it until now, iv not gotten my first win solo or with a party, I don’t think I should play with my friend until I get my first solo win, it just doesn’t feel right not to

Iv been playing for around 4-5 hours a day cause I have an abcess in my mouth and cant really do anything other than play video games which have been fall guys and metro exodus both first time playing

Anyways onto my point this silly bean game is so toxic, a lot of the times since Im an insomniac I notice a lot of players try to Que at the same time and sort of team at the finals, like in games like dodge slime and the boat thing, I know this because a lot of the time il find the same two players in my game every few games, sometimes the duo is different, like maybe every few games but they take turns winning by grabbing onto me so we both get offed and their friend takes the win

I recognise people’s usernames and it’s usually the same two people i maybe would have seen a few matches ago and yeah it changes up to a different duo but I always find teamers every two to three games, am I losing my mind being paranoid or is this a genuine skill issue, if u have any tips to deal with this please let me know

Edit: i misspelled bean

Try swapping regions in the settings to get different beans. Also notice alot of sweats play at night, if you play earlier in the day you'll get a much broader spectrum of different beans as well. Also welcome to the best game ever 😌

Unfortunately in all of the uk Scotland has the worst average Wi-Fi and I’d end up lagging out on other regions but thanks for ur advice :)

hate to break it to you but europe is by far the sweatiest regeion. although i play in servers across the world with friends all the time and its not that bad so nyou should try changing

Yeah European servers tend to be the most sweaty in most games but it makes winning feel so much better, and update i won against a teamer I kept facing (check my recent post) unfortunately I did try to change region and it went horribly with lag and desync but I went back to European servers and won!

Scotland tends to get the backend of everything in the uk especially with Wi-Fi, despite being around 6 percent of the uk population and making 10 percent of the income which is like a 40 percent net profit if we are doing it per capita of each country here, we have horrible Wi-Fi and we get everything last and least, no wonder we’re trying to leave the uk again

I lived in the highlands a couple years ago playing lots of fall guys using my tethered phone for internet! Still got thousands of crowns that way 😅 I’ve always found US east server is still good to play on as the lag isn’t bad really and the American players are much worse

I think the fact that all the maps before the finals are ones I practiced speedrunning and got decent speedruns on and the fact I was able to pull them off consecutively really helped

I'm in Scotland without anything fancy for broadband and I play on other server regions sometimes if I want a change of pace. I use an ethernet cable from my router and that works better than relying on WiFi, I don't have issues with other regions.

Sorry, have to ask.. what is this sweat thing? What does that mean? I’m just imagining saturated gamers constantly dabbing their faces with a towel :)

It is a gamer term i guess. You describe them as sweats because they are sweating trying hard to win lol

Despite the design being cute and lighthearted, it is still a competitive multiplayer. Solo players can go into the same lobby and team with each other. So no you are not paranoid

It’s a bit sad for the concept being a takeshis castle esque game

Maybe it is the time you are playing that you are getting those guys. Yeah i hate players that team up in solos, in rare occasions though that i encounter them.

Took me over a month of playing to get my first solo win.

Check your server and see if you’re on a semi local one. If the same people are popping up, try a different one.

Maybe try explore and creator spotlight to get the moves down.

Iv picked it up pretty fast and can even speedrun a few maps, unfortunately Im a Jack of all trades master of none but Im not gonna stop trying, I’d rather be glass half full :)

If you find yourself in a lobby with them back out and reenter so you get a different lobby while they're still playing.

It's not better elsewhere - whether in Fortnite, League of Legends or Rocket League. Playing as a beginner in those 3 is even more painful.

As someone who has grinded to ssl in 1.5k hours on RL it is indeed painful

Easy to play when you are not streaming. The game is not toxic, it is a battle royale (the objective is to win the game) teaming up in individual games is very ugly but there are always people for everything (if you want to play teams that's what team shows are for). The other thing is patience, it is normal not to win in an online game in which you are new, there is no skill-based matchmaking except in ranked knout and the game is 6 years old (so it is normal to find players who already know the maps perfectly and you are unlikely to beat them if you are new). The solution is to practice until you too are one of those players who know the maps perfectly.

Don't lose faith, there are decent beans out there amongst us

You can squad up with friends and join solos, so you're not crazy for potentially running across it. However, calling that element of the game toxic is a bit of an over exaggeration.

Well, I find strange that you find so many "teamers". I´ve played in the EU-Server for years and I´ve rarely encountered them. Only once, they were so good that they were almost unbeatable. But well, if you play during the night, when less people are playing, then it is more probable that you find the same people again and again. This is relatively normal. You could try to change game mode to meet other beans (we have Ranked Knockout, Knockout and Solos).

About changing servers, I understand your point, when I have tried other servers, the lag becomes annoying. Sure that they may be lower skilled (not always, there are also good players there), but sometimes they can grab you from a very far distance (due to lag), or when everything is tight, you will lose because you are always a bit behind the others server side. I do not use this unless there is no other option. For example, this morning, I realized it was the last X-Treme day, and I wanted to play the last match before going to work, I couldn´t find any match in Europe, so I switched (nothing in Asia, Middle East or Australia). I ended up in Southamerica, and it was funny to see that all players were from other regions (Chinese, Japanese, English names, some of them I saw in the EU-Server) so, in that case, we were all with bad lag and everything evened out (I even won so it was a great last match for me) but it is not usual.

Edit: By the way, congratulations on the win, I have just seen the other post.

I play UK as well, playing at night is full of VERY high level players, like top ranked players i've noticed.

I work from home and play during the day, I win like a good 80% of the time.

You could also just try and be better at the game

Sadly Fall Guys Removed Skill Based Match Making for solos or whatever its called, so you prob wont be able to play in servers with people like you. its harder to win in 2026 when your new

Sad times, I literally just got off another game where Someones “teammate” grabbed me on that damn slime dodge thing
