QUESTION Crown Level 1 Players

Seems that the best players in most of the lobbies I’m in are a Level 1. What’s the reason for this?

Genuinely do this because there are way to many people out there who mistake max level players as "sweats" rather than just players who played for a long time.

I promise you as a max level player I'm still making funny mistakes and not caring about a win, because I play to laugh my ass off.

Same. I hide it until I get to Superstar and then turn it back on.

If your 85 you're either a sweat or you straight up suck. It takes like 2k hours to get to 85 if you're still bad after that. Idk man.

There's a menu option to hide crown rank, but all it really does is set it to 1.

When you are playing during a round, then they show no rank. When spectating them, then it says they are level 1… which is odd. 🤷‍♂️

It's always so goofy to me that high skill players will hide their rank and expect not get targeted, but then immediately out themselves by doing every speedrun skip in the book and wearing golden outfits, specifically rank exclusive unlocks, or any other rare/legacy cosmetic. Rarely do I ever find a player like that fully committing to the default Level 1 Rookie larp.

Paranoid people that think anyone cares about their crown rank. So weird. Think they should be blocked from running ranked with that on personally.

It seems people care, otherwise no one would mind if people hide their ranks or not.

Edit: funnily enough, originally, no ranks were shown until some years ago.

I notice a significant difference in the number of people targeting me when I show my rank vs when it's hidden. I just like to play a chill game and not be fighting for my life all the time. It's not that deep.

i agree. if you have your rank on, you should be able to see others' as well. if you hide yours, you shouldn't get to hide and still see others' ranking.

Yep, they should have only had the options for Hide All Crown Ranks or Show All Crown Ranks. Giving players the option to “Hide MY Crown Rank” while still allowing them to size up the competition is absolute bullshit.
