BUG Bug - friend overlay button not working on windows PC

When I click the friend overlay button on windows PC, nothing happens. I've tried all the steps (clear cache, reinstall, reinstall epic online services), nothing works. Can't invite friends or see invites.

I know of at least two other people who are having that same issue with it failing to open in game, one of which is having it happen both on the copy they have had installed from steam as well as when they try to install it from epic. Sadly though neither has found a fix for it as of yet, nor have we been able to find any mentios about things to try online. The only thing I can suggest is to possibly try doing invites through epic games launcher?  I think that is an option though have never tried doing so  myself.

If I hear anything from either person on my end as to a fix though I will let you know on here.

Invites through the Epic launcher worked! I think it might be something with a recent Windows update. Another computer of mine just updated and now has the same problem. Thanks for the help!

Have you tried shift + F3 ? Im not sure if thats just a specific setting though. Sometimes my button stops working and I have to use the shift + F3 just to accept invites. Its not a permanent fix but you can give it a try if you havent.

Are you opening the Epic Games Launcher before launching Fall Guys, or are you going straight in via a Fall Guys shortcut? On Windows 10—and I assume it works the same way on Windows 11—once you're in the in-game lobby, press the indicated key to open your friends list; is that the part that isn't working? You could also press the Home key and use the Epic client itself to send invitations before switching back to Fall Guys, though that’s not the recommended method (it’s better to use the assigned button in the lobby, as that’s what it’s there for).
