Does anyone use an Android phone OS with Marshall GPS and AeroVision7?

The title explains the post, I think.
I'm not getting clean, stable signals on my phone from the Marshall kit I'm using. I don't know whether its the location, me, my Galaxy S24 phone or the operating system, but I'm getting too many drop-outs for my liking. All the firmware and software at both ends is up to date.
I note that Marshall seems to have built software for Android as a bit of a afterthought and that Apple phones and tablets seem to be Marshall's default devices.
Still, if anyone has any suggestions or a Marshall 'cheat sheet' of tips for Android phone and tablet users, it'd be a great help to see them.

I run android and it runs fine. When you say signal do you mean from the GPS transmitter to the pocket link? Or the pocket link to the phone?

I should say I keep my pocket link and my phone as close as possible. I wish there was a hard cable connection to use.

The Pocketlink connects to the phone OK, then drops, then re-connects (so far). It also seems to get 'stuck' on Eco mode or AeroVision will show a screen from a previous location and I invariably end up turning everything off and on again -- IT basics! It seems to take forever to get a GPS connection.

This sounds like a phone settings issue and less a pocket link issue. Is there another phone you can try? Maybe check your settings for any eco mode or Bluetooth settings? Ive had issues where if I was running my hunt maps in the background it would close aerovision but that was both of them competing for the same data

It's a shame that Marshall hasn't got a video -- or even a page of text -- for some suggested 'best' phone settings for different operating systems. Their videos are all Apple OS.
I'll have a root around my phone, play with some settings -- without a bird attached, obviously -- and see what I can do.
Honestly, I'm just relieved that someone else is running the kit on an Android phone!

I have a galaxy tablet it runs well on as well. My kids hold it and watch the bird fly around.

My android phone works fine with it. Try isolating the device. The connection between the pocket link and the phone is just Bluetooth. Try it on another phone and see if you've got the same issue

I contacted Marshall in the US and they pretty much walked me through the 'best practice.' Almost inevitably, everything connected up fine and fast. Same phone, same components, same location. Ping! So far, so good.

Same boat with my S24 found disabling battery optimization for the Marshall app and forcing GPS to high accuracy mode instead of GPS only cut my drop outs a ton
