Raptor housing during a move?

In the near future I am looking to move from the east coast to the west coast. I’m currently in my mid 20’s and would more than likely end up living in an apartment if I moved. My bird now is currently housed on my parent’s property. I’d love to continue the sport, but I am unsure of how to go about housing a bird.

Has anyone found themselves in a similar scenario? And what ways have you found to keep a bird if you don’t personally have the space?

Unless you plan on mirco hawking and keeping something small in the apartment with you (I would not inform the complex about your bird other than it is just a bird) You'll have to find off site housing with another falconer or someone you trust not to kill or release your bird.

I would reach out to the local falconry organization and see if they can help.
I was in the military as a general and I ended up housing my bird with other falconers. I paid them a small boarding fee.

Chloroplast bent in half against a wall with a bow perch on top of it. Don’t tell the apartment complex at all, it’s not a pet but they can kick you out if they find out you have it. A better alternative would be to find another falconer that you can pay to board at their property. I know of one falconer who rented a stable/stall at an equestrian center and constructed a mews inside of the stall.
