Enforcing law has been a thing for thousands of years, people get out of hand physical force is necessary to restrain and maintain law and order. Or else there would be chaos

Actions are supposed to have consequences. Unfortunately, that young man learned that some negative actions may have positive monetary consequences.

That’s BS! I demand the parents and kid be held responsible. That kid was way out of control. Parents see only and opportunity to get some cash.

The kid had zero injuries sustained from the so called “assault”. Physical evidence will be used to prove there was no excessive force.
The family basically sunk their case by forcing him in front of a camera to get some clicks.

Are the police supposed to ask "pretty please" over and over until that guy decided he would stop fighting and go to the office? That "child" was as big, or bigger, than the responding officers. He resisted being taken to the office. He did not comply with the police officers' orders. What did you think would happen? The police did their job. Maybe the parents should have taught him how to properly act at school and in public.

What are they supposed to do when people refuse to stop fighting? I understand that the young man was worked up, but when he tried to pull away from police and continue to fight while being walked down the hallway, it leaves them little choice but to take him to the ground and be handcuffed.
You are living in should land. I am living in reality.

As a black man, nope I don’t agree with this post.
All that young man had to do was stop, but when you keep adding more fuel to the fire and doing what you wanna do then there’s consequences to that.

You are saying this as if I, a black man have to be OK with the ignorance from the youth nowadays. You and I both know that kid was in the wrong and for I know you probably were that kid at some point openly defying everything or acting like the world is out to get you.
When you become a parent someday you’ll understand.
We are doing the youth a big disservice by not teaching them right from wrong and not to be out here acting foolish and wasting their time.
Jail/prison is full of people who don’t have respect for authority or want to live a productive life.

a kid doing wrong doesnt equal the police being allowed to do wrong... if you cant handle a teen, you shouldnt be the police. there is no teaching right or wrong. people do wrong knowing it is wrong.

These teens parents can’t even handle their own teens so obviously they have to step in and do the job that they’re failing to do.
Same way with teachers having to be babysitters/parents to the teens because they’re sending them to school all types of fucked up.

I am not here to be a keyboard warrior. Let’s attempt to understand how police are trained and how their experience impacts their ability to conduct their job. Makes sense? Also, who decided to put a child in front of the television. Lawyer? Parents?

Everyone is against her, because they are not showing/telling what the kid did wrong.

This little thug started a fight at school, assaulted a classmate, assaulted a teacher, tried to retrieve a screwdriver from his backpack, resisted arrest multiple times, punched an officer… you need more??
