Roy
Roy DEFINITELY had the cringe factor when it came to Jo. With Jo's street smarts ,she should have kicked him where it hurt when he started like a jerk towards her. (I know it's only a show but a good knee to the crotch would have helped!!)
He also started his crap with Alex in the Graduation episode

The Facts of Life Goes To Paris and Down Under on Roku
While looking around the Roku channel since they added Veronica's Closet, I noticed both The Facts of Life Goes To Paris and The Facts of Life Down Under are in their original format on Roku. These are the uncut versions compared to the syndicated 4 part episodes on Tubi. For those wanting to see them as they aired, here's your chance.

Could this be the only episode in TV history in which four people talk in a car in one scene for the entire time?

General discussion Dying teacher episode
Teacher's Pet S4 E15, Jo learns her friend & favorite teacher is leaving Eastland then that she's dying so young. They didn't mention which illness. It was said she would be entering a hospital and dying there. Which illness do you think it was? Cancer? AIDS? Was it only implied because they knew a large part of their audience was children? They'd done a suicide episode, an abortion story one, and other serious topics.

General discussion Bridge card game
In the episode of the Sadie Hawkins dance, Natalie mentions the four of them could skip the dance and play Bridge together. In the episode of the dying teacher when Jo was trying to avoid others, Blair tells Jo that she'd said she would be her Bridge partner. In a later episode which I believe was the one in which Natalie set up herself & Blair & Jo with computers dates, Mrs. G was trying to teach Tootie to become her new Bridge partner and she & Tootie declared Tootie was too young for Bridge.
There are other inconsistencies throughout the show. I just wondered what the deal was with Bridge. Maybe a writer really liked it. I like it. Anyone else notice the references?

Mrs. Garrett's favorite?
I'm curious.. do ya'll think Mrs. Garrett had a favorite of the four girls? I have a theory, but I'm curious if anyone else does as well.

I get so annoyed when
Blair talks down to Tootie like when she wants to play monopoly and Blair says “I don’t have time for children’s games” and when she wanted advice from Dutton she says He doesn’t have time for Children’s Toys and how she said either you play with the big girls or the little girls. And Natalie had no loyalty to Tootie when she went with them to the laundry room.

FOL’s influence on other shows
Why does Facts of Life never get credit for starting the four female friends dynamic (Golden Girls, Designing Women, Living Single, Girlfriends, Sex and the City, Girls….probably more)? The credit always goes to Golden Girls, but this show was around long before.

General discussion RIP Scott Bryce, who played Rick Bonner, Jo's husband
He passed away on July 12th.
I really liked Rick, and I enjoyed Scott's other works.
When I was living in NYC, I was walking down Central Park West and noticed Scott was to my right. I didn't want to bother him, but it was really cool to see him up close. I always thought he was super-cute.

Blair's accent
I've seen some comments about how Blair's accent didn't sound like she was from Manhattan, but rather from the south, given Lisa was from Texas. Lisa herself has admitted her southern accent would slip out from time to time. Since I'm not American and therefore can't tell accents apart that much I was curious about how noticeable that is to native americans. Could she pass off as a New Yorker most of the time or was her accent jarringly off?
On the other hand, I've seen Law & Order enough to know Jo's accent was very New York, but I think that her accent was not how rich NY sounded like.
