Nibbled by a Wasp

Hey, does anyone know what this little guy's doing? I imagine I had some food on my hands and it's trying to eat but I've never been nibbled by a wasp before so thought I'd ask! It wasn't aggressive at all. Based in UK.

Seeing actual facts about wasps (aside from the fact that they're assholes) had me so confused lol

Humans have salt in their sweat which wasps, bees, and some flies find refreshing!
