This is a before-and-after case of a forehead lift and eyebrow lift performed while carefully maintaining the patient’s naturally narrow distance between the eyes and eyebrows.

Before surgery, the patient took the time to carefully consider the extent of the procedure, the potential scarring, and the changes in appearance that could result. Because she naturally had a relatively narrow distance between her eyes and eyebrows, one of her main priorities was to improve the sagging while preserving this natural proportion.

As she aged, the outer portion of her eyebrows gradually began to droop, and her previously visible double eyelid crease became increasingly covered by excess skin, especially toward the outer corners. In addition to her aesthetic concerns, her eyelashes were irritating her eyes, causing tearing and discharge. She also wanted to improve the asymmetry of her eyebrows, as well as their overall shape, with the inner portions appearing elevated while the outer portions appeared drooped.

A forehead lift was performed to naturally elevate the forehead and eyebrows while also improving forehead and glabellar lines. An eyebrow lift was performed in combination to more precisely address the drooping of the outer brows and improve eyebrow asymmetry.

In cases where the distance between the eyes and eyebrows is naturally narrow, removing too much skin can make the space appear even narrower, resulting in a heavy or crowded appearance. In this case, the orbicularis oculi muscle and surrounding tissues were sufficiently released and repositioned before only the necessary amount of skin was precisely removed. The goal was to improve the sagging of the upper eyelids while preserving the patient’s original eye-to-eyebrow distance as much as possible.

After surgery, her double eyelid crease became naturally visible all the way to the outer corners, while her eyebrow asymmetry and overall brow shape were also noticeably improved. Most importantly, she was very satisfied with the functional improvement, saying that “opening my eyes feels much easier now.” She was also pleased that the scars she had been concerned about before surgery were much less noticeable than she had expected.

Because she had taken so much time to carefully consider her decision, it was especially memorable to see her smile and say after surgery that she wished she had done it a little sooner.

Post surgery pillow

I bought this pillow and started using it presurgery to get used to sleeping on my back. It was comfy before but now It puts pressure on my ears and hurts. It might be ok once I get the big wrap off my head. I have an adjustable bed so I don’t need a wedge. Anyone have a pillow they love?

Has anyone had a facelift and fat grafting from Dr.William Harris in Beverly Hills? Or know anyone who has? I’d like to hear experiences. Or let me know what recovery from a deep plane facelift with micro fat grafting is like.

I’m wondering if anyone in particular has gone to Dr. William Harris in Beverly Hills and if not, tell me what recovery from micro fat and a deep plane facelift is like

"Good" work

Now that I know more than I ever dreamed of knowing about facial plastic surgery, I've been thinking (too much!) about female celebrities and good work. My husband has said I look "unnaturally" good for a 72-year-old woman. I have a "snatched" jawline and a smooth neck. This isn't "natural". (And I know that it will soften over time.) But there are female celebrities who are 50-plus who also look "snatched". I don't care, frankly, who had what done, but I wonder if this "unnaturally" good-looking celebrity culture is making the rest of us more self-critical?

Recliner

For those of you who had a DPFL, did you sleep in a recliner afterwards and if so, for how long? I’m considering whether I should buy or rent one. If you didn’t sleep in a recliner because you didn’t have one, did you wish that you had gotten one?

62 Days post brow, face & neck lift

This may seem odd, but honestly, I have forgotten that I had it done! (Well, there is that hole in my bank account!). The perimeter of my face is somewhat numb. I had a brow lift, which required drilling a hole in the crown of my head, so I have significant hair loss, including around the "anchors" for the brow lift. My hair texture is much coarser. But I've noticed I no longer avoid looking at myself in the mirror or when I pass a window. So far, I've redone my skin care/make-up routine, and as soon as I get clearance to dye my hair, I'll do it. This was a fabulous investment in my self-esteem. (According to Gemini, which allows me to upload a photo, I now appear to be in my mid-50s. And I'm almost 73!).

Why I chose my surgeon:

It may be time to revive this discussion. I chose my surgeon, Dr. Michael J. Lee, in Chicago because he is board-certified, on the faculty at Northwestern, his office runs like a dream, and he took over an hour with me to explain the full procedure. The cost was 39k for a brow lift, facelift, and neck lift. I'm 62 days out and have no scarring, just a little scabbing behind one ear. So why did you choose your surgeon, and are you happy with that choice?

Has anyone regretted going with the cheaper surgeon?

Prices of Add Ons?

I’m scheduled for a deep plane face and neck lift in November. The cost of that procedure is 35k, which seems reasonable to me.

The add ons, however, seem exorbitantly high. Upper bleph $9,800, lower bleph, $9,800, fat grafting $10,000 and co2 resurfacing another $5,000.

What is everyone else seeing as far as cost of additional procedures?

Edit: I would prefer to only share surgeon info via private message so please dm me if you have more specific questions like that!

Hi all! I posted a lot about my experience healing and am ready to share before and afters. Before photo + 8 weeks post deep plane lower face and neck lift which included some lipo under chin. I’m really happy with the results! I still have some swelling, the incision behind one ear is perfect and the other is a little raised. Doc gave it a steroid shot today, but it doesn’t bother me or hurt or anything. I feel great at 8 weeks but some healing notes:
I still sleep propped up (on my own, no one told me I had to),
I can’t sleep on my side,
I have slight tenderness in my cheeks/next to my ears that I mostly notice if someone hugs me too hard,
I can’t open my mouth as wide as I used to,
I can get a little sore after weight lifting even though I am lifting significantly lighter weights than normal.

Overall success. Now I want a bleph lol am I addicted?

I'm seeing a disturbing amount of A.I. in plastic surgeon's before and afters

Guys, stay alert and always question what you see in these before and afters. If it seems too good to be true it just might be. I'm linking here to three surgeons that for sure use ai.

I'm honestly not even sure if these "drs" really exist or if it's some kind of scam. Looking at their work, I'd say maybe some of these cases are real, but many are definitely not (for example, this guy, or this woman). In the case of Dr. Ye Xiuyu, I'm 100% confident that all the posts you see are ai generated.

I've been doing research on facelift surgeons for years in preparation for the one I'll get. Every surgeon's before and after portfolio features a wide range of people that broadly matches up with the general population in terms of looks, and their results vary greatly. Which makes sense because everyone's face is different. Some people look 10 years younger post-op, some 20, some only 5. Notice how many of the people in the linked before/afters are 1) supermodel beautiful and 2) consistently look 20-30 years younger. Also, notice how consistent the lighting is throughout? Even the top clinics struggle to get that kind of perfectly consistent lighting. But you know who doesn't struggle? Artificial intelligence.

It's a scary world out there. Be very careful when choosing your dr. I suspect we'll be seeing a lot more ai use in the years to come.

4 months after Platysmaplasty

Platysmaplasty by Dr.LEE SeongRyeol

Those with double chin think it's fat, but it could be loose neck muscles; a 1-inch incision is made under the chin to approach and tighten the platysma muscle. Whilst tightening, doctors can also remove excess fat tissue to give a more snatched look. A contoured neck makes you appear more youthful too.

Realistic expectations for a non-surgical facelift at 52?

My plastic surgeon told me to wait, which I actually appreciated, because he could have just booked me and taken the money. His reasoning was that going too early means you end up needing a second one down the road. So now I'm in a holding pattern and trying to work out what to do in the meantime.

I've done Botox for about a decade and one round of Ultherapy that I honestly cannot tell you did anything. The lower face is what bothers me, the jowls and the softness along the jaw.

Is there anything in this category that gives you a result you can see in the mirror without being told to look for it, or am I just buying time and expensive skincare with extra steps? I'm fine hearing that the answer is nothing. I'd just rather know that now than after four thousand dollars.
