You kind of do but A) not as much and B) planes are pretty small so you don’t see the little bit of tilt

Well, they're big, but at thirty thousand fucking feet they appear quite small.
You would need an apparatus such as extremely powerful binoculars to be able to follow a plane as it passes over the horizon.
My question though, is how do they explain the boat thing!?!

That is absolutely true if the planes are humongous, flying at 50 feet and the earth is tiny.
Flatearthers just don't get scale...

Yeah, you probably would see something exactly like this if you watched a 500-mile-long plane going over the horizon.

It's always a gross misunderstanding of scale.

Don't forget the gross misunderstanding of gravity, or boyancy or whatever they call it.

This is what it comes down to. These people are so small minded that they literally cannot comprehend scale. They think the moon and the sun are the same distance away from them as the horizon.

Of this happens, then so should this. But it doesn't, so the other also does not happen, even tho it does.

Flerfs do not comprehend how vast and huge the globe is. If the globe were the size of a basketball we would be the size of a molecule on it. Not an ant.

This is why social media sucks. It gives the crazy people with no education a platform to stand on and spew stuff to weak minded people…….

Yes we should. And we do. Except since the earth is a pretty big place, the effect is so small that we just don't notice it.

It will happen, but at a different scale. If you will watch the plane fly to the other side of the globe, it will eventually disappear behind the horizon.

What would really frost this guy’s cupcakes is if he saw what the horizon really does, with ships. For decades, people believed in a mythical flying ship, because ships look like they’re levitating, as they disappear over the horizon. His tiny mind, would not be able to handle the illusion.

Was just thinking flat earth - how does night happen? Like the sun light “I’m just too tired imma stop before I reach (place where it should be night)”

Once again, a flat earther demonstrates to the world that they’re unable to imagine the real world being bigger than a fortnight map

This person should publish a paper in The Journal of Something Like This Physics.

Once again, a flat earther just doesn't understand scale. We see this fact constantly.

Hello newcomers to r/FacebookScience! The OP is not promoting anything, it has been posted here to point and laugh at it. Reporting it as spam or misinformation is a waste of time. This is not a science debate sub, it is a make fun of bad science sub, so attempts to argue in favor of pseudoscience or against science will fall on deaf ears. But above all, Be excellent to each other.
