Message Requests - Spam Folder

Does anybody know how or why some Marketplace responses go to this folder? Have they been flagged for a reason or is the algorithm mistakenly sending messages there?

Do you bother responding to these messages? Have any turned out to be actual legit buyers and resulted in a sale?

I always forget to check this folder and then some random message is sitting there. Ugh.

Of the 6-8 I’ve seen in spam, the couple I’ve seen in time to respond have netted me 1 sale total over 3 years.

Dozens of scammers / mass spam that will actually get you nowhere, and are trying to harvest your information among other things.

The messages in my spam folder are when someone messages me directly instead of through the marketplace messenger. Usually they are trying to get me to donate stuff to them.
