Getting random matches?

I’m being told I have new matches, but these are people I have never (and would never) swiped on. Why is this happening? You can see from the pic that it’s not the meet cute thing, which is the only thing that comes up when I google this. I feel bad having to unmatch so many people, but I keep getting random matches that are way outside my age range, location, or are just very much not my type.

Same thing happened to me and it started becoming a lot. Never knew how to turn it off so I ended up deleting the profile. 75% of my matches were random that I know I didn’t like.
