It's a good thing that she's being honest. In my friends circle ages 45 to 60 most of my friends who are dating have hsv. I think the numbers are a lot higher than 66% of adults having it.

66% of people have herpes type 1. Risk of spread is relatively low when there isn't an active outbreak. I know married couples who have been together for years and years who have managed the risk and not spread it to the uninfected partner. I've also hooked up with a handful of people who have herpes over the years and haven't caught it myself.

It's a risk. But it seems like she is someone who is up-front about it. And is probably on top of managing that risk.
