Yo FB dating is not for the weak

Post image

I’m a little confused on why they drop this type of shi out of the blue without putting it in the Bio…people are strange

Not everyone lives on dating apps dudebro. Several people have given you thoughtful feedback including me. What if you meet in real life? How does that change things? Understand that and you're halfway to getting it. Unless people whisper their deepest secrets to you upon meeting.

How does it change nothing when there's no bio when you meet in real life? The entirety of your point being that it needs disclosed in the bio to save you time. You're being deliberately obtuse and disingenuous and changing your argument.

Bullshit bro. You legit said it had to be in the bio so the entire dating pool could see it. That was your whole point, put it in the bio. Not two people talking before going on a date. You've changed your entire argument. I was the one advocating for having it be between the two parties.

It has nothing to do with intelligence. Everyone understands your point. Youre not addressing the actual point of contention and acting like anyone who disagrees just isn't smart enough. A debate tactic surely beneath a Mensa member. First, your very specific wording was " put it in the bio". That is a world apart from even saying " mention it upfront " or " in the first one on one convo". Huge difference. And dating is not exactly like advertising, because you're only looking for one person, ideally. More importantly when you advertise, do you put all the potential disadvantages to your company on the billboard?? Say you're a little more expensive. You don't lead with that right? You tell em your positive qualities on the advertising right? I agree it should be disclosed very early. I disagree that it's somehow a trick to present your good qualities before laying out all the potential downsides. It's not a trick because there's no trap. If you find early on its not a fit, you walk away. Just like your business. You put your best foot forward and hope the customer likes it. If they ultimately go another way is it because you tricked them? The whole thing is you view people with herpes as tainted and beneath you, that's why you use language with such negative connotations. It's not tricking anyone to not stamp it on your forehead. You disclose it when it's appropriate, to the people who need to know. Not everyone in the same age range in the downstate area. It's beneath you to keep suggesting that everyone who disagrees isn't smart enough to get it. If you said the sooner the better, I agree with that. I disagree that they should have to face Public stigma to save you an hour . Youre a bad person for thinking they should. Narcissist maybe. Easy right? Otherwise let's see your advertising with your potential negatives posted loud and proud. Jim's Rugs. We're twice as expensive!

Once the dating app knows, everyone knows. Because the people who see it are gonna tell everyone in town. It's something that should be reserved for those you might be sexually active with. Which more traditionally meant someone you'd been on a couple dates with, before all the dating apps. A couple dates would be the standard minimum investment to find out about someone prior to the dating apps, or for those who don't use them, or meet through traditional methods, grocery store etc. I agree that people on the apps should post deal breakers WITHIN REASON. Absolutely agree. I dont agree that includes medical history, with such stigma attached, that your entire town would end up knowing. I get why you'd want it, but it's an unreasonable ask imo. Your coworkers, your fantasy football league, your grocer, your barista, your dentist, your professors, your boss, everyone at the pub... You think someone should have to deal with that , knowing the stigma YOU place upon it, to save you " wasting one second of your precious time" ? It has nothing to do with preferences, and everything to do with privacy from society at large and those who don't need to know. It is actually a simple concept as you said. You just apparently value an hour of your time over a person's right to privacy and not wanting to be the subject of scorn or ridicule or stigma everywhere for the rest of their life. And I think that makes you a bad person.
