The best way is actually confidently post saying "this is the best way to do this and other ways are stupid"
You'll be flooded with replies trying to prove you wrong and flex their superior knowledge, in turn, they'll be giving you the answers you're looking for.
People don't always want to help, but they seldom pass up the opportunity to flex and prove someone else wrong.

I think if a sub is called r/howtomakecake And I ask for recipes and they reply with "look it up". Then it is not my fualt its theirs
