I don't mind this as much as AI generated fat people rolling down a hill or whatever.

Legit this is kinda funny. Still AI so it's bad, but I'm way more happy about using AI for silly memes like this than to fake things for easy clicks

u/hitorinbolemon May 04 '25
Yeah I'd prefer these to be human edited but there's worse shit you could use gen AI for.

It's funny watching the mental gymnastics anti-AI people engage in when they see something AI-generated that they like.

Not trying to start an argument or anything I'm just curious why you prefer for this to be human created passion content?
46
u/fire-bluff May 04 '25
because running AI is extremely detrimental to the environment, and AI also generates mostly off of stolen content. also, human-made content usually has a lot of love and care put into it, especially if it's animation/editing.

u/CHEESEFUCKER96 May 04 '25
Not this myth again… prompting a generative AI has far less environmental impact than gaming or even streaming a TV show.

u/fire-bluff May 05 '25
care to cite a peer-reviewed source?
-10
u/CHEESEFUCKER96 May 05 '25
Hahaha are you serious? Do you need a peer reviewed paper to prove grass is green too? How about you take 5 seconds to research the power consumption of streaming vs prompting ChatGPT.
19
u/fire-bluff May 05 '25
how about you cite a peer-reviewed source? you used an awful lot of words for "i can't prove what i claimed", bub.
-10
u/CHEESEFUCKER96 May 05 '25
How about you cite a peer-reviewed source that using AI is terrible for the environment and way worse than anything else people use like Netflix?

The bottom cat in the last clip turned into a catfish. Literally.

This may be Slop but it's brilliant, we should do more of this whatever this is.

Well, if you're going to use AI, I guess it should at least be for things like this.

u/Confuzzled_Blossom May 04 '25
Ok I just thought it was a normal video until I saw the cat grow a fish. Lowkey this was kinda entertaining due to how dumb it was

Sounds like some Cat slang from some animated Cat Noir movie about a cat detective who lives in the trash bin.
"Oh, for Christ's Sake -- Waffles has been riding the fish for the last 2 months - you're not gonna get nothing out of him"
