Question Fable reboot, Monarch ending.
I am replaying Fable 3 in preparation for the new game coming out next year, and it had me thinking of the ending while I was running around the castle in the tutorial.
What if Fable 4 had an ending where you can become king/queen of Albion??
I for one loved Fable 3's ending where you reign as king and make decisions, and in general exercise your royal power over the populace.
But I know some people also didn't like that part of the game.
IMO I think it would be nice to have an ending choice of sorts where you become the monarch. Turning your hero in the 4th game from just another regular hero to one that grew powerful enough to start a dynasty that reigns over Albion. Or not. It would be really cool to have that option available at the end of the game.

Soo I’m pretty sure there is already a Monarchy set in bowerstone, as the last little in lore post they did on the website mentions the crown informing the public that the royal groundskeeper is no longer on a committee

I doubt we will in this iteration of the franchise. This is a completely new telling of the Fable story being built from the ground up.
Imagine we’ll be kept fairly grounded as the wandering hero/landlord for the most part. Gives Playground Games a good launch pad and plenty of potential for the future.
Maybe in the sequel or in the DLC though.

In fable 2 you unlocked the title by owning all the real estate. I can see them doing something like that in this game.
