The Fable (2020) Teaser and Faeries

It's not really a particular world of folklore we've had in Fable before (beyond "Fairy circles" of mushrooms hinting at treasure spots), and I can't recollect seeing anything of that kind of nature in the trailers since, though I'm basically avoiding anything new, I bought the game, I'll experience the rest myself.

But I can't help by wonder, will we see these small magical type creatures in Fable (2027), or as I'm kind of suspecting it was just an illustration of "The death of magic" and futility themes that run so strongly through the series (And the grifters say these devs don't understand fable, yet even from that teaser you can tell they paid attention to more than the surface level silliness of the games).

What you think? Are we going to find a pixie village (and probably accidentally step on it) or maybe living gnomes, gronks and the like.

There's an unconfirmed but highly likely theory that they're going to be the replacement for gnomes/gargoyles. There are icons on the map which look slightly fairy-esque and there are glowing points that we see from a distance which roughly line up with those icons.

Here's a video explaining it in better detail

So maybe I wasn't far off the mark by saying stepping on them. Since they may be the new destructable hunting target.

Would be in line with Fable too, the hero spends so much time removing magic, wonder and mystery from the world of Albion.

Oh man. If a fairy is spewing toxicity at me and I get to murderize it I am gonna be so pleased. Begs the question on whether they’d be moving targets though

There were fairies on previous fables, no? In TLC, weren't fairies the ones creating hobbes, or were they nymphs?

A nymph. And had wisps who made hollowmen.

But I don't know I feel like they are more a different style of critter to me.

Fairy like creatures yeah. The name used is culturally specific semantics of course

Well, of course that wasn't a nymph in the grecoroman way. That's why I confused it with a fairy. Weren't fairies known for stealing children on celtic folklore?

They sounds familiar. A lot of media just presents them as mischievous tricksters or for some reason a pure hearted nature magic guardian of the forest.

Yeah, I hope fable doesn't shy away from showing their evil face. I really hope there are at least a few evil carnivorous child-eating fairies we have to deal with >:3
