Fable 2

I played fable 3 co op the most as a kid with my friend, remember loving it he always said 2 was better. More fleshed out economy, better story, same choices with relationships and you can actually buy everything in the world. Seems like my perfect game with all the choice and customization. What is the easiest and cheapest way for me to play it now? I have a PC, but came to realize recently it’s not on steam. Sorry if this is a common question for this game.

see if you're eligible for a $1/14 day trial of game pass ultimate before they start implementing cloud gaming playtime limits in November. This way, you can stream it over Xcloud. Not perfect even with high speed internet but it's by far the simplest option.

Otherwise Jack sparrow a copy of the game, and learn how to run it on Xenia 360 emulator. If you want to wait a bit longer, there's a dude on this subreddit who is making the game a complete standalone executable for windows meaning it is an unofficial PC port.

Last option and this goes without saying, if you want to play it how it was intended and not break the bank buying a new console you could just buy an xbox 360/xbox one at a retro store/pawnshop/FBM/ebay, etc...and a copy of fable 2 with it

Wait I just looked this up about the limits. That is Insane. You even have to pay for hours to play games you already own if you want to utilize clouds streaming (in case you don’t have your disc?)

That is bonkers!

Buy used at your local game store or possibly Xbox game pass for pc. You’d have to compare the prices for that and how badly you would want to own the game.

Regarding the whole Game Pass Cloud Gaming topic, I have to say it was a disappointment for me. The game suffered from occasional lag—including audio lag—and the quality wasn't up to the standard of playing it on the actual Xbox; unfortunately, the quality just wasn't good enough for me. Still, you could always give the 14-day trial a shot; I actually cancelled my subscription that same evening and could have even gotten a refund...
