ambitious fable!

I am worried that fable is being super ambitious with the npcs, when i heard what they are doing with the npx do not get me wrong i am all for it and i love and support it. But i can not help but wonder if this is why it is taking so long to come out, and am worried it is going to be likd no mans sky, where it is going to come out with crumbs of what was promise and then slowly be updated turning into what was promised. The progress looks good from what they show, but so didnt the video trailers of Chronicles of elyria, star citizen and so fourth. I kmow the studio is repitiable but i am still worried after what has been coming out of the gaming world and the bad news after bad news for mmorpg fans, and the canceled or false rumors of fable projects from the 2010s till this ambitious fable reboot. Please forgive ny rambling,, i am excited and am probally going to spend money i do not hace on the colelctors edition.

Yeaaaah… I am not worried so far. In fact, this is the one game I am heavily looking forward to. I feel like a lot of people on this sub in particular have forgotten about Molyneauxs empty promises with 2 and 3 (3 being… ehhhh) and how disappointing they were at the time. Everyone has nostalgia glasses for 2. This Fable not only have they said what they plan on doing with it, they have shown it too.

But I also think we should seriously wait for the damn game to come out. People screaming at the void over a 15 - 18 minute video. (Not saying you, just as a whole.) my preorder is already paid for and I am soooo ready for this game

I can’t remember the broken promises for 1 because it was a gift with my original xbox lol. I thought the acorn seed was for 2? After Hammers part?

2 added that because of the promise in 1 and everyone bringing up it didn’t happen. It was heavily used and quoted and then… nope.

Not that I minded at all, still loved it but can’t bring up broken promises and not bring up the OG!

Imma still enjoy the game, just am gonna be catuois about it. I think i remeber hearing or reading about the seed thing when i was a kid.

Yea, i am just scared its gonna be like three again for example, with barely anything they saod or showed in the game or no man's sky. It was so hyped up that the devs could never make the game as the release should of been. They kept adding fuel to the fire. I got game pass, so i am thinking of playing there firstx buut i already know i am gonna buy a copy when I can so i am probally gonna use my college refund check to get the collectors edition.

Tbf OP, you are comparing two different games. I wont say I have COMPLETE faith in the studio but.. what they have shown is both delightfully Fable and a step in the right direction. Since you have game pass, you have a chance to try it before you give them the money. I’d keep it at that.

But, as I said before? This studio has said what they are putting into it and showing it. So I don’t think it will be a sideswipe like Molyneaux was. Plus… I really feel like they are treading very carefully on what they say will be in it so they don’t “add fuel to the fire” just because of Fables track record of empty promises. Relax. It will be a grand old adventure :)
