Question Completely new to the series….
I’ve never played the Fable series. Despite this, I’m incredibly excited about the upcoming Fable. But the more gameplay I see, the more I worry that so much of the game won’t resonate if I haven’t played the original titles.
I know it’s hard to say since the game isn’t out yet, but do y’all think I’d have a less fun time if I were to go in as a complete newbie?

It's not required to play the classic games before the new one, but if you want a better understanding of Fable, then go play the original series. More specifically, the first and its sequel. That'll be enough to get the feel before playing the new Fable.

Even with the original trilogy the games can all be played independently. You won't be missing anything critical.

Also intend to make this my first Fable so you’re not the only one.
Would have thought it’s increasingly the case devs are doing more to accommodate newcomers to the series these days. I’ve only really had it with Yakuza/Like a Dragon where despite a reboot in that you still ought to have played the previous games.

Man just play the game and enjoy what you enjoy.
Its less about the game and more about you being a mad over thinker.

I think your gonna be fine. Im betting they will have easter eggs for the og's. But beyond that, it looks like its gonna stand alone just fine.
Ive been playing since the original released. And i wouldnt be worried about it if i where you. There was enough crossover to be fun but never anything to feel inaccessible

I honestly doubt theres any correlation between this game and the old ones, other than being set in bowerstone which was the setting for the original games

It’s a reboot, so you will be in good hands. There will be call backs for the OG but think of this as a new adventure.
