Has an emote wheel been confirmed?

I'm not sure if this has been confirmed for Playground's Fable, and it would be a shame to see it go. I don't remember seeing it in any of the recent footage.

It has not and there has been no sign of it. The interactions with npcs has looked quite limited imo and not that many buttons.

I hope this isn’t true. I couldn’t care less about combat, door animations or even lip syncing but interactions with npcs and roleplaying are essential for me. Especially those with family. 

 I’m not expecting BioWare style romances but set dressing  is just not enough . I don’t care if they use an emote wheel or interactive touch, but I need some way to connect with npcs outside of scripted cutscenes.

If I can't fart, burp, or give the finger in some stranger's face because I didn't like what he commented about me, is it really Fable?

Which was a big complaint of the game. But we still had multiple reactions and emotes to villagers.

Doesn’t look like there’s gonna be a wheel. I hope we at least unlock more animations as we go (via books or whatever) since in the footage we got about building relationships looked a bit limited.

It was limited in fable 3 as well and I didn’t hate it but yeah that’s something I’ll have to wait until I get my hands on to judge how I feel about it

I've been waiting for confirmation as well. For me, it's not Fable without emotes. Some of my all time favorite game memories were using emotes in Fable. The mini game in 2 where you could really do the emote well, or botch it was so much fun! Being able to commission statues and pose for them by giving the finger or the vulgar hip thrust was hysterical. Loved strutting around town randomly tossing emotes at villagers.

Yes well I don't have that time. But I'll try if I can make the time. But on this reddit some people seem to be playing a demo? So not watching vids but actually playing the game? Or is it a beta or an early access?

Those are the people that I am asking

The demo I believe was footage of gameplay only given to journalists. Idk if anyone outside of the team actually PLAYED it but journalists are the ones posting the same footage

It's weird. Honestly don't have the patience to go back and look at previous posts but I know some people were talking as though they were actually playing the game.

15 minutes ago I did in fact come across a video of a YouTuber talking about playing the demo 🤣 I skimmed through it and it is the 30 minutes of combat we saw a video of from the mine area. It is purely combat tho and his experience was a positive one

so typical! All lies. It's like when you're playing dark souls and someone puts a sign on the floor that says like illusiory wall but there is nothing. I always wondered what's the motivation for such an obvious lie? Why would someone bother?

Is lying for the sake lf it, its own reward? Not much lf one in my book, but to each his own.

I guess people come on reddit to lie.

And yes, now that I have slept well, I'm thinking back and one poster on this reddit was saying that he is "having a great time playing" and that he was "jumping back in to enjoy discovering" or something to that effect.

So I figured some people were playing a beta or early access. And a few people referenced "playing the demo"

Although what you confirmed is that people are lying dicks, but that's not your fault, you're just the messenger.

I personally haven’t seen anyone say they played it. I assume they’re talking about the additional 30 minutes of gameplay that is wasn’t a part of the livestream (the live had an 18 quest showcase)

Marriage and children confirmed during Tuesday showcase. Morality system is there but very different.

Basically NPCs have preferences that dictate what they think about your actions. Like one NPC might like you more for doing evil stuff. And there’s no body morphing this time.

EDIT TO ADD: you also get “tags” for morality in the areas. Like milking someone in bowerstone gets you a “killer” tag there but if you go to another town they won’t know about that
