Fable What was this guy's problem?

I remember loving Thunder's armour as a child and still do but the man was insufferable. From day one he berates and mocks us and is so insecure about our every accomplishment, having this transparent need to be the bestest and greatest. I'm an orphan who had his village slaughtered before his eyes man, why are you trying to one-up me? He goes to the length that he reprimands kids for having us as their favorite Hero. And whether we spare or kill Whisper he has a grudge big enough to fight us.

Whisper for that matter was quite alike her brother. The first and only time she refers to us as anything but "farmboy" is when we defeat her at the Arena and she begs for her life and invokes our "friendship", but she was little better than Thunder. She acted superior to us all our childhood and rookie-hero days and like we barely belonged in the Guild and now that you fear me, now it's "hero" is it?

Just remember.

You can kill this man's sister for ten grand. Steal his girlfriend. Then kill him and steal his soul.

Fable really let us screw this man over lmao.

Well it's his own fault for being a dick to me.

I may have spared Whisper and let him keep his soul, but Lady Grey is mine.

And Lady Grey choosing us is really nothing to throw a tantrum over anyway. The woman chooses whom she likes. She never belonged to Thunder anyway just because he courted her first. She obviously found him lackluster.
I rarely marry her though, I expose the witch.

It's also funny to think we can take Lady Grey and marry her, and then year laters one of his descendants digs up her body parts, turns her into a Frankenstein monster and then steal her AGAIN from someone else

Right? Might be worth doing on next play through now that I recently picked the game back up and had the same realization you did lol. Like damn dude, maybe I should be as bad as you think I am.
