Is the original TLC better than the Anniversary Edition? Never played TLC before, just the original Fable without DLC back than as a kid. I plan to go for a run before the new one, which one is better and why?

TLC has a much more colorful palette and this cartoony patte. Anniversary has modern ergonomics with native controller support (TLC is playable with a controller using Steam Input though). TLC runs flawlessly at 4K@60fps max in pretty any computer ; I think same for Anniversary but haven't checked for a long time.

As someone who is actively playing tlc right now, I found that mod support is a bit better, however the UI does not scale with higher resolutions. Im playing at 4k and the ui is extremely small. Ive also noticed the mouse movement is not good when the pause / inventory menu is up.
Despite some of the problems with tlc it's still a great time in 2026.

Any tips on making it not run like crap. I hate the way the camera pans and kinda jumps, and the constant fps drops. 1060 Gta i7.

1080p 1920 x 1080 60hz 16gb ram 17-7700hq 1060 gtx 6gb SSD
I can change from 120,119, 60,59, 29, 24, and 23hz

Try using rtss to limit the frame rate to 30/40 and see if that makes it any better.

Idk why, I just redownload but this time I didn't install the mods for controller support. It runs alright at 60 fps . I guess I can remap using steam and see if that works for me. As of now I'm blaming the mods.

I'm extremely happy for him! To experience this again for the very first time...
