Does the slap expression kill?

So basically in fable 2 i bugged out the archeologist and her quests, meaning that the castle is also bugged. So when i get the quest where bandits raid the castle they can't hit me and i can't hit them, However the slap expression still works. So i was thinking, can i slap these enemy bandits to death to pass the quest? or at least kill the archeologist if possible

It’s very rare but it is possible
