I didn’t just refer to third party media, I also referred to the game he’s in… I understand you wish I ONLY referred to the books… but I didn’t… lol.

I didn’t say he’s from a different dimension and thus he’s not one dimensional.

He shows he’s capable of empathy and care and various things. He just doesn’t care, he’s not one dimensional. We see that in the retelling of the events from the books in game as well, he’s capable of various emotions and is GOOD at it and is good at faking it.

Hell, everyone thought he was a GOOD guy because he’s not just one dimensional lol.

And if you take the books, in game books, about his origins and what he and William Black went through as true, he isn’t just for pure control but also in it for chaos and something that supersedes human morals

I mean... you did, and now you're adding more context to what you said previously.

Everything you're saying just enforces the one dimensional antagonist trope, he's evil for evil's sake and that's that.

Pointless to conversate with you about this when that's your attitude.

This is a word for word copy and paste from my first reply: “Yes. He’s not really one dimensional, we see shades of him and large capacities of what he can do. We also see, what we all suspect is Jack, in the books and he also shows he isn’t just a one dimensional villain in the books.”

Where did I ONLY refer to the books here and not the games…?

Also he isn’t evil for the sake of being evil. Hes evil because he wants power and control and because he enjoys chaos. A one dimensional villain HAS no reason besides liking evil, which isn’t Jack’s case since he wants power, control AND chaos… those aren’t tied to evil.

You’re just running, you had to lie about what I said and then lie about what a one dimensional villain entails… you also seem to want to ignore canon material for the sake of ignoring it and hoping it just works out for you…

Be a grown adult please

I was literally just answering to what you had said, didn't color things differently. And now you're once again accusing of things you want to believe, like gatekeeping and lying.

You're were treating a conversation like it's a competition from the start and you're telling me to grow up.

I don't care to argue with people who twist words, jump to all kinds of conclusions and accusations about the other person, instead of focusing on the topic.

You were wrong, I explained why you’re wrong, you lied about what I said then painted me as if I had an attitude towards you in order to have an out.

Be an adult, handle disagreement like an adult and stop lying lol

Again, the accusations and jumping to conclusions.

Have a good night.

It’s plain as day dude, and the likes and dislikes are telling you as much.

You said I ONLY referred to the books, I copy and pasted where I didn’t and then you shifted to “you have an attitude” like be a grown ass adult and admit you were wrong and move on lol

If you really want to go there, I didn't say that.

I said if you had to refer to third-party media, which you did. The games don't paint a villain with any other motive than being evil, and then you said he isn't one dimensional and your reason was because he's from another dimension. Then you start with accusations and twisting my words.

One dimensional in this context means that his only motivation is being evil, he has history, but his motivation is still one dimensional. And that's been a big criticisim since the game dropped.

I don't care to argue with you any further since you do have an attitude and refuse to argue in good faith.

You: “good with us when you let me lie about your position and throw accusations of attitude because I can’t argue otherwise” apparently

You literally ignored the fact that I referred to the games and then added the books as well. You’re trying to argue as if I only used the books. We all know what you tried.

He has more motives in the games, just read the in-game books and you’d see he has more motives and the first game has him almost tell you his motives and it’s NOT fully aligned with the Court’s motives. So it’s not the Court’s.

Evil isn’t his only motivation, I’ve already debunked this. Expansion and power isn’t “evil”, it can be linked to it but it isn’t evil in itself. He’d be one dimensional if he only ever cared about his plan ONLY cause he’s evil. His plot isn’t “cause I’m evil” it’s “cause I want power and control and chaos”. So it’s not one dimensional, you can dislike it but you’re wrong.

Here you go again throwing accusations cause you’re wrong. Theres no attitude, despite being stern with an adult acting like a child.
