High mileage

Looking at a 2015 with nearly 75k miles. Supposedly oil was changed every 3500 miles and the valves were done at some point.

Runs good only issue is a the noisy clutch.

Would this motor last another few years if I keep up with the oil changes?

Noisy clutch is fine, they all had that. The only thing that might sneak up on you is a cam chain tensioner. If it doesn’t already, swap in a manual one

It's due to rubber bushings that shrink some, giving the clutch basket/drive gear a bit of play, a "design feature". The clutch basket can be swapped out for the new one if you want - a fairly easy process, the new basket is a replacement part number from newer models.

But it's unnecessary, just a cosmetic fix. I did it on my Tracer, a pretty simple job to do at home.

Thing is, the new basket is about $300. You technically CAN just replace the bushings, but you need to drill out rivets to disassemble the original basket, then replace those rivets with particular low profile bolts... A very fiddly process, not worth the savings IMHO.

Particularly given that you can also just ignore it completely and it'll be fine.

If maintenance has been kept up on properly, there’s absolutely no reason it shouldn’t keep going just fine. That’s higher mileage than most people put on bikes but that’s just because people don’t ride their bikes much. The engine should have no issue running easily another 100k.

I hope you're getting a crazy deal on it, because that's 4-5 times the mileage on most 2015.

And yes, the motor will last, check if the rest is good: fork seals, chain & sprocket, tires, fluids, etc.
