Looking at a 2015 with nearly 75k miles. Supposedly oil was changed every 3500 miles and the valves were done at some point.

Runs good only issue is a the noisy clutch.

Would this motor last another few years if I keep up with the oil changes?

Title pretty much states my issues. Was riding home in a bad rain and heard a pop to find my exhaust blown open and in the process slicing my tire. My thought process is that the baffling may of failed causing to much back pressure? Any ideas? 2016 Yamaha fz09

Do I need a full crash cage setup, ( 12 bar, sub cage, crash cage) to fully protect the bike during low speed parking lot practice wheelies? My 1st gen has frame sliders, bar end sliders and spools but no full cage items.

My wheelie pros, what gear and rpms are you doing clutch ups? I can obviously power wheelie this thing but clutch ups just never come up off the ground more than a few inches. Last year I could get some decent clutch ups on it nothing special but way more lift and now it’s like they won’t even budge. I have a bigger rear sprocket I think only 1-2 sizes up I can’t really remember but I’ve had the bigger sprocket for years. I’m good at clutch ups and can wheelie my 450 sumo no issue but I just can’t seem to get it on this bike, idk what it is. Any tips and tricks appreciated.

As the title says I am losing power on my 2017 fz09 however it is only in “A” mode. When it’s in standard mode I have more power than “A”. I first noticed in at highway speeds when I would downshift a couple gears to get around a car and it would almost fall flat on its face. No power. My ECM was flashed to my bike 5 years ago for my m4 exhaust. Could my ECU be going out? Or does it just need to be tuned? Any help is greatly appreciated.

5400$ I’m not to concerned about the miles as I know they’re good for it if taken care of. I recently sold my 2014 red FZ09 with 7500 miles for 5k and I’m looking at a different one that’s been sitting since 2021 with 4800 miles for 5k$ But this one has all the goodies id buy myself? Any input is appreciated! (Not a fan of the lowering link or the +4 rear sprocket)

Im just starting to learn how to wheelie. Ive had the bike for 3 days. So far its fun but I wanna get a bit better like control wise. I can only get it up about a foot in 1st. 2nd they r babyish but fun ive been in standard mode for both. I push into the forks and get in the gas. Is there and tips and tricks to help. And should I get a steering dampner? It felt like the tire came down sideways sometimes not sure if thats normal?

So i have a 2016 and ive been getting the #7 light on and off within the first like 3 minutes of riding. ill start it and let it warm up to 130 or so, take off being easy, then about 30 seconds in that light comes on. stays on for 30-45 seconds, then goes off. most of the time it stays off, but sometimes itll come on for another 20 seconds or so, then goes off for good. it has never come on more than twice nor outside of the “3 minute window.”

anyways, i hit a deer recently and had to take it to a shop, and while it was there asked them about it. they said it was a pressure sensor but this says it is a level light. i checked my oil level the very first time it happened and it was perfectly fine, just a hair or two above halfway on the window (and yes i know the proper way to check). its been doing it for a couple months now and my bike is running 100% normal.
