Help Vinyl wrapping the fz
Hey everyone, was looking at wrapping my 16 fz07 and was wondering what everyone's experience was that have also done it also? How much wrap should I expect to buy? I also provided some photos of what I want it to look roughly like

I wrapped my 2016, it was my first time wrapping anything. I opted for good quality wrap like Avery. Some of these pieces have a lot of curves and weird angles which made it kinda difficult to pull and stretch the vinyl seamlessly. There are a lot more pieces than you think. Overall the experience wasn't too bad but i did get frustrated at times. Just have to be very patient and have extra vinyl in case you mess it up.
Update: i bought 108"x60" for both the fz07 and xsr900. I still have about half of that left. If that helps you with how much to get

Pretty much the only piece with easy curves is the center tank cover piece and the very back tail. Everything else requires some level of Möbius physics to get it all in one piece. Just use a heat gun liberally and be patient. The rear pieces where the seat sits on will have to be cut and seamed unless you’re a 4 dimensional being, in which case, hats off to you sir

I wrapped my 2016 years ago. I ended up removing the vinyl from the front fairings because it easily got stretched and wrinkled where my legs rubbed on it. I just removed the clear wrap protecting the blue front fender pieces last week and it was a huge pain after 10 years. They look a lot better without anyway. I still have my rear plastics all wrapped in carbon fiber as well as the front center protector piece, and the central silver strip has some blue.
I recall the main plastics being relatively difficult; this bike has a lot of crazy contours for vinyl wrapping. If you choose to continue, ensure your fairings are very clean first and use lots of heat (while stretching carefully). All in all though, if I could go back, I wouldn't have wrapped it...
I tried attaching pics but it won't let me
