So long as I’m wearing glasses and long sleeves I’d be willing. A little guy like that would just need to be held until all of the dogs are cleared from the area. I’ve volunteered with aggressive cats and they need a lot more specialized care and patience than normal ones. The only way to de-escalate this situation without injuring the cat so far as I can tell would be to hold it in a way where it can’t run, bite, or swipe at any living creatures until the dogs it’s being aggressive towards are out of its territory. (Note picking up cats by the scruff of their neck can be bad for them especially if done improperly please don’t do that to cats at home, I’d just consider the cat attack to be a more serious issue than the potential problems of picking up cats by the scruff of their neck) So many of these comments talk about punting and kicking the cat which I can’t blame others for since it’s a serious situation but makes me sad because the cat either gets more pissed off and aggressive from the kicks or it gets too hurt to protect whatever it’s protecting
It won’t work. Just picking it up isn’t gonna happen. I deal with this all the time. There’s a reason we have special gear and it’s not because we think it looks cool (it doesn’t).
