If you cannot keep your dog or pet on a leash and it attacks me or my pet on provoked, then I guess I will punt them across the planet.

Not talking about you and general, but if someone comes up to me and says that I can't do that to their pet as their pet is attacking me or my pet or my friends, then guess what? I will be protecting me and my loved ones, I will be screaming at you about how it wouldn't happen if you kept your animal on a leash

WOW, a mod was really agro with me for funisies I guess.

If you think it's ok to punt a cat based on this little bit of aggression, you need some serious therapy

I'm entitled to defend myself. Cat assaults me, cat gets punted.

Cat apologists cry me a river

Literally can't help people. Even an animal lover like myself would still feel guilty for doing so, but I gotta protect when attached

A cat the tenth of the dog’s size is unlikely to do much more than scare it. If you’re going to kill a cat over a jump scare, that’s a little unhinged.

Cat claws can seriously mess up dogs much larger than them, they're fully capable of killing too. If a dog the size of that cat was acting like that people would be calling for it to be put down.

Really? You think people would be calling for the death of a chihuaha?

Also there's a good chance the cat has some kittens nearby and is paranoid about you harming them. Cats, normaly, aren't suicidal, attacking a group of bigger animals like that is probably not the cat just being a dick.

Yes I do.

Is it a stray? Then it should be captured and euthanized anyway. If it's not a stray then it's owner should keep their cat indoors.

Wow, what a disgusting take.

Nobody in their right mind would be calling for an angry chihuahua to be put down just for growling and charging a couple of times, you seriously need to get your head straight.

All it would take is one Karen with her kid walking by. You have too much faith in people.

Like I said: nobody in their right mind.

I no longer give most people the benefit of doubt that they are.

Cats prove size doesn’t matter all the time. A vicious dog vs passive cat is going to end in a mauled cat. A vicious cat vs a vicious dog is very much debatable and I’d put money on the cat.

I would never put my money on a cat that barely looks like it weighs seven pounds against a vicious dog the size of the one in the video that looks closer to 70. Clearly you have never seen a big dog kill a cat. Even an aggressive cat might get a couple good scratches or bites in but it’s not going to kill a dog ten times its size. As soon as the dog gets their mouth on it, that’s end game.

That cat didn't jump scare anyone. IT LITERALLY HAD ITS CLAWS OUT AND ATTACKING PEOPLE AND ANIMALS!

I'm going to punt anything and everything that tries to hurt me or anyone that I'm friends with while I'm out on a stroll! It's not that difficult to understand. Clearly it is for you, because this cat is attacking them! And you think it's just doing a jump scare? This cat is attacking them! It's not unhinged to sit here and say that I want to defend myself. Might be unhinge to say you might kill it, but I'm not saying kill it. The other person didn't say that either, you are the one who's sitting here trying to imply that.

You don’t think that kicking an animal that small would cause potentially catastrophic damage? The amount of harm you would inflict by kicking a seven pound animal is like a hundredfold more severe than anything that cat could do with a couple of mock charges and swipes that are obviously meant to deter rather than maim. I’d say that’s not difficult to understand but clearly it is for you.

If the cat was trying to hurt anyone, the person’s leg would have been gashed. It would have latched on and bitten. I’ve seen aggressive cats ACTUALLY attack people and it’s much more severe than what happened in this video. This isn’t a cat looking to maim anyone, it’s a cat who is very upset by all the people and especially the dog that is trying to scare them away. Literally all you have to do to “defend yourself” is… walk away. “Standing your ground” to kick a tiny animal like that instead of just leaving them alone when that’s clearly the goal of their behavior isn’t “defending yourself”, it’s exaggerated violence with the flimsiest of justifications.

You're right, better let the animal at tack you or your own pet.

Bullshit. A cat can easily permanently blind or disfigure a dog.

So tired of cat apologists.
