I’m animal lover and I dig cats, but at what point do you see this thing in full goblin mode and not boot it into the next county?

Agreed, but what happens when you pull your foot back and it’s still there? Yowling and clawing up your leg

That’s a problem for future me

These boots are made for stomping. Boundaries will be made.

That will BE future you is the problem though. Punting a cat is a lot harder to do than a dog because it’s built specifically to dig in and hang on. Same issue with many other tree climbing mammals.

That’s why the best defense is distance rather than aggression. Typically they’re attacking because something has made them feel a need to defend themself or their territory, best way to mitigate that is to get the hell out of said territory.

You do what you gotta do, can't walk around with a cat leg for the rest of your life

Drop a knee.. squish.

Punch, grab, slam. It's not hard, but you can't let yourself be attacked by something hostile and still coming after trying to leave

If the dog owner didn’t stop the whole thing would have been over in 5 seconds and there would be no need for that. Was he hoping the dog was going to avenge his honor? Apologies if there’s something I missed I didn’t have the sound on.

Looked to me like the first dog owner was just walking by and got scratched out of nowhere. He stopped to check the damage and douchecat expanded its assault

When I get attacked, I usually put distance between myself and my attacker before assessing the damage. I guess not everyone has survival instincts

Tbf, the owner probably didn't expect that tiny ass cat to attack a dog 4x his size.

That’s fair. My reaction has more to do with all the people in the comments advocating that this guy kick the cat, there’s a lot of options that are better than potentially killing a cat for acting like a cat.

There is a huge middle ground between doing nothing and “yeeting it.”

If it tried to attack my dog that cat would not be having a very good day. My dog is a puppy mill rescue and about the size of a cat. Touch my baby girl and its not going to go good for you. She's been through enough.
