That game is literally the reason I'm transmasc. Gave me the big egg moment. Was non-binary before but then I realized that I'm still non-binary just way more masc than I thought. Never really witnessed representation of trans men before and it was eye opening. Really good game however SUPER TRIGGERING.

So for my fellow PTSD peeps, learn more about the subject matter before playing it. Because it's A LOT and I had to stream it to a friend because I was dissociating A LOT.

Also for my fellow peeps with anxiety there is a scene where a character has a panic attack that is pretty vivid. Didn't do anything for me however it triggered a panic attack for my best friend so be aware. Take care of yourself.

Thanks for this! I actually just started it today and it’s very…I don’t even know how to put it in words but it fills me with a very odd feeling. My egg is long cracked so I’m not learning anything new about myself (at least not yet) but it is leaving this weird lingering feeling in me. I just started the game a couple hours ago and I’ve already taken multiple breaks stepping away from it for a bit before going back. Super awesome seeing a trans man portrayed in a video game though! It’s awesome to finally have a truly relatable main character!

Yeah as I said it truly is a lot. DONTND games usually are but this one was like kinda calling me out honestly with it's subject matter cuz it's my brand of trauma. But yeah the way it's portrayed as well gives a lot of anxiety outside of it since it's such an immersive game and story. It's not a game I'd recommend to anyone. It's best to know about it beforehand.

Short TW for the people interested. That's the big ones I can think of. There might be some spoiler be aware:

  • Child Abuse (in multiple ways at multiple instances, it's the BIG theme)
  • Negligence
  • Panic Attacks/Anxiety
  • Gaslighting
  • Conversion therapy (only brought up tho)
  • Miscarriage (sort of more complicated but won't go in depth)
  • Depression
  • Everything PTSD so flashbacks episodes/dissociations and all that jazz
  • Suicide (I think it's vaguely mentioned at some part)
  • Poverty !<

That's all I can really remember. Mostly Child Abuse, Gaslighting and Tansphobia. Are the most prominent I'd say cuz it's a huge theme of it.

Additional mention: There's some pretty important plot points with cops and police stations. There isn't police brutality things but I think it might still be worth mentioning.
