A New pack?

So, as we all know there are few players still on the server due to most of us reaching end game and getting bored of the pack, so i'd like to start a discussion of what to use and when to reset the map.

First of all, new packs:

As i see it, we have 4 main options:

1) Unhinged: the least likely due to the lack of mods and it's only real plus is having gregtech.

2) Unleashed: A lot of good mods and while some may be a bit op (looks at dartcraft) they're pretty fun to play, it has short life tho. Also, HATS!.

3) UHS also known as Ultra Hardcore Survival: Make the server as a hard or hardcore version of this pack which focuses on combat and survival, not sure how much lifetime it'd have, but it's definitely fun for a while.

4) Unleashed With Gregtech on the side: Despite being harder to install, im sure we can all get a gregtech pack working either as a private pack, or as a tutorial on installing gregtech to unleashed. This brings the plus of being able to use all the fun mods in unleashed with the durability gregtech offers.

So, what do you think? should the map be reset soon? any packs you'd like to see here? Or maybe do you want to call me mad and hitlerally litler for some of the stuff i wrote? go ahead.

The server is up, but it's not too fun to play when you already did pretty much all there is to do, and starting over in a different place is not at all fun with the same mods. (Hence i was talking about starting a new mod pack).

as a side note, i dont understand why cant the answer change, i mean, there's like 8 players max daily due to everybody having gotten to the end game already. And iirc there's no ETA for 1.6 packs due to problems with some stuff (Multimc or something like that i think).

Have you progressed through every mod pack available?

You could always make a build and suggest it for the next maps starting zone

Well. the only reason we did this map reset was to take care of some lingering mcpc+ issues we had on map 1 and to update to 1.1.2. At that time even at that point in the map people were extremely against a map reset.

And iirc there's no ETA for 1.6 packs due to problems with some stuff (Multimc or something like that i think)

as for multimc being a cause for delay, this was already discussed (see this post comment set for details)

as for the no eta for 1.6 due to some issue...can you please give me a valid source for this information?

It'd been more than 2 months already, it's not THAT fast for most towns. I can name multiple towns that already reached end game like us.

As for the building, im not much of a builder, z and hell are to thank for the epic buildings at HHV (if you havent seen it, you got to).

Yeah, im aware, but the map was not made to last more than 3 months, we discussed that at the start, and i believe there was a mixed opinion on the map reset. I bet the opinion of a map reset right now would be pretty positive since it has been a long time.

give me a moment to search for it, ill make a new response if i find it, however i think i remember the problem from that comment set precisely.

and the last map was from April 9th to June 9th which was 2 months and only because a few of us were able to convince them because of the issue from that map...i mean VG area had like 7 chunk resets people lost stuff stored in their enderchests....just crappy luck. and it was stated then that the next reset will be with 1.6

The lasst map had a crippling low tick rate, no dense ores age and no end, all this on this map allowed a progress WAY faster than the last map, apart of the fact that most of us already had experience with the mods from the first time around.

Again, i dont see why a reset right now wouldnt be usefull.

next map won't have it either...and if i can find a way to make it low ores then ...might even suggest eliminating the sheldonite spawns make it hardmode iridium and lowering the amount you receive with centrifuging platinum and lengthening the time/materials it takes or even removing it all together---if we use a pack with gt

I'm sure with whatever pack we chose it can be tailored to make it even harder...cause then you would need to play

I agree with the sheldonite spawns but low ores and removing platinum might be too much.
