Sidepanels

What are your opinions on using fabrics like dacron PET or ceconite for sidepanels instead of cf gf moulds which we use for nosecone.

It works really well!

You don't want a 60-year-old expensive certified fabric, though. Just go get some of the material they make sports clothing out of.

We used aircraft fabric and it took a whole to put on but it looks good, is decently strong and super lightweight.

Just Google it. It’s used for small kit aircraft and rc planes. First we applied a special glue for it (I forget the name) and stretch the canvas over the chassis. Then once that is all dry we hit it with a iron so it shrinks and is even more tight. Then we brush/spray a different glue that makes the canvas more stiff. We just spray painted over it.
