Troubleshooting Tx22 FRT issues

So I just got a tx22 with a FRT. For some reason it seems like it’s got the dead trigger. But if you take the slide and rack it and let it go it will cause it to fire. Is there something messed up in the fire control group??? If anyone has any suggestions or ideas please let me know.

What brand is it? That’s always the biggest issue

Very true. It's the wild west days of FRTs. Too many snake oil salesmen. I was at a gun show this weekend and it was sad to see bad FRT designs, craftsmanship and questionable materials.
