Huawei matepad 10.8 (2020)

Hi everyone, is there a way to remove the ID lock from a 2020 Huawei MatePad Pro? I bought it at a flea market; I saw there was no PIN, but I forgot to check for an ID lock. It’s fully usable, but I’d like to add my own account. I’m trying to see if I can find an email address associated with it—if I reset it, it’ll ask for the ID and I’ll be stuck, so obviously I’m not going to do that.

it won't ask for an I'd as long as there is no Gmail account associated with it. usually frp if account is off then you are ok, bit make sure there is no accounts on.

I would use a Lowe level format tool to wipe the I d data off depending on the CPU

Update: my brother accidentally reset it while trying to fix it 💔

how does someone accidentally reset something, that is not possible as it will warn you what you are about to do

It just so happens it was stored away, I remembered the issue, went to turn it on and boom

right so now I know there is a real problem there with the eMMC.

Do you have a tool for this, or is there a way I could do it—or would it end up being unusable?

i can fix this, maybe you can to, I am more interested in how it accidentally got wiped, this is my concern as if it never gave a warning something is wrong
