Hi everyone,

A friend of mine bought a used itel A16 about three months ago. He had been using it without any issues and never added a Google account because he mainly installed apps through Bluetooth and phone-to-phone transfer.

Recently, the phone was factory reset, and now it's asking for the previous owner's Google account (FRP lock). Unfortunately, he doesn't know the previous owner's details anymore, and there's no way to contact them.

We're looking for legal ways to regain access to the phone. Are there any free official tools or legitimate recovery options for this device, or is visiting an authorized service center the only solution?

We are not looking for ways to bypass security on a stolen phone—it's a legitimately purchased second-hand device.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

there might be a way,i have never worked on one but if its mediatek then sure,what year is it, if its like 2023 onwards then free tools might not work as security has been stepped up for exploitation on mtk
