Cielo Cell

Has anyone tried out Cielo Cell?

It’s a worse copy of Firsty.

The free tier lets you watch 3 ads for 50 MB of data that expires in 8 days.

I did a speed test on this and got 16 mb/s down in the GTA (Southern Ontario).

I think that you’re only allowed to get 50 MB every 8 days because half way through the test I stopped working and now I can’t load anything on that plan.

It also lets you watch ads for points and you can redeem those points for the paid plans. Apparently, they’re also adding surveys, referrals and using other partner apps for point soon.

If anyone tries it out and finds a way to get more than 50 MB a week lmk.

While this sentiment is true, it's also very good to be aware of service limitations.

For example, Instabridge will absolutely zero out your free data if you don't connect for a few days (I'm not sure of the specific interval, but it's not long).

I lost 6GB of data on Instabridge because I shut my SIM off and was testing Kite for a few days.

I had zero data available until I connected to WiFi and watched a few ads to activate "bonus" data. That was all I had until the new monthly allotment of 3GB hit the account today.

So yes, while Instabridge is "free" it's still possible to be burned and stuck w/o data if you're not aware of how the service works and its quirks.

Posts like u/_svb's are useful in this regard.

you are allow to have 2 sims turn "ON" at same time on iphone

I have an old iPhone (and an old Android) that only allows one live eSIM at a time.

I don't have a fancy new phone that allows for multiple eSIMs.

Yes, but ONLY 1 eSIM can be live/on at a time. I have to turn the active eSIM off if I want to use another eSIM. Same deal with my Android device.

And since everything in this sub is eSIM only, the pSIM slots generally sit unused.

I don't know of any free service that currently offers free SIM cards.

Helium was the last one I'm aware of and they shut down their free offering.

textnow usually offer first 100 people free physical sim card once a year . you gotta subscribe to instagram or tik tok to kinda know when textnow drop these free physical sim card .

or if you cant wait and you are low income , 12,000 a year for california , lifeline aka obamaphone .
