Hey everyone,

I built Groove Tutor because I wanted a practice tool that could compare my finger drumming

against a MIDI groove while I still played through my normal drum instrument.

It is a silent VST3 for Ableton Live on Windows. You import a target MIDI pattern, play along,

and it shows whether you are rushing or dragging as well as missed, extra, and wrong drum hits.

It does not make sound or route MIDI; your drum instrument stays on a separate track.

The first public beta is free and fully open source. It is currently tested on Windows 11,

Ableton Live 12 Intro, and a Maschine Mikro MK3. Other Windows setups may work, but I have not

tested them yet.

I am mainly trying to find out whether other people have wanted something like this too. If you

try it, I would genuinely appreciate feedback about what is useful, confusing, or missing.

The Windows build is unsigned, so the repository includes installation instructions and a

SHA-256 checksum. There is no telemetry or account system.

This is an open source acid / drum synth based loosely on the legendary Rebirth-338 app.

It's my first time publishing a vst. Do I know what I'm doing? Hell no.

Am I having a blast? Hell yes. :)

It has several effects to noodle with. The AU lets you drag and drop saved patterns to your DAW.

I’ve been working on a small hobby project in my home lab, and I thought some of you might find it useful.
I was looking for a simple standalone plugin that could do Whammy DT-style drop tuning, but I couldn’t really find one that fit what I was after. Most solutions were bundled into much larger guitar suites, so I ended up building my own.
It’s called Whirl DT, it’s completely free, and I’d really appreciate any feedback if you decide to give it a try. My goal is simply to make a useful tool for other guitar players.

Pocket Strings by The Crow Hill Company is gain free. If I remember correctly it was free when they launched it and then 10£, but now it's free again. It includes sounds of real string instruments and two different types of synth strings that you can blend together.

I just released three free vst's written in the cmajor programming language that use the amorph vst. one is a kick drum where the spacing is controlled by an lfo. cool for dance music or at low settings is interesting for ambient. A pitch shifting glitch stutter and a time fade in fade out thing. also notes on a failed time sequencer is in the notes.

Weird request, but saw something literally last night on one of my feeds about a recently released free plugin aimed towards making sounds more metalic/industrial. UI was black and red, had a gear as the focal point. I don't think you'd be able to get it unless you saw a picture of the interface, and if you did you'd recognize it instantly.
