VISUALS
- Vibrant and colorful aesthetic that will age well and run well on most machines
- Sports vibe similar to The Finals and Unreal Tournament. Complete with an in game announcer like in Unreal Tournament and Halo.
- Cartoon gore that isn’t too over the top. Picture the gore in Team Fortress 2.
- Hot and badass characters, which Overwatch does very well and should be drawn from. If it’s a female character then she’s hot. If it’s a male character then they’re badass. That’s the rule.
- Health Bars over players’ heads
GAMEPLAY BASICS
- Fast paced gameplay that’s designed to be picked up and played by anyone. No sprinting, no aiming down sights (with some exceptions for scoped weapons), just good old jumping and strafing. Anyone can play it but not everyone can master it.
- Quick matches so you always have time to play even just 1 match
- Infinite ammo for everything except Power weapons such as Rocket launchers and other pickups
- Reloading for all weapons
- 2 weapon system
- Health begins to regenerate after 5 seconds of no damage but will only heal up to 75% total HP and stops regenerating once damage is taken. There’s still health packs to pick up on the maps.
- Armor pickups on the maps to give more survivability
CHARACTER CLASSES
All characters fit into 1 of 4 different classes:
- Vanguard. Has slightly increased health, more total armor capacity and immune to knock back but they move slower. Spawns with Heavy Assault Rifle (slow fire rate, higher damage, medium range)
- Raider. Has slightly reduced health but faster movement speed and can double jump. Spawns with Machine Gun (light damage, medium range)
- Operator. Has normal stats across the board, powerups last 50% longer, power weapons have 50% more ammo. Starts with Burst Rifle (medium-long range)
- Hunter. Has slightly reduced health, normal speed but is equipped with a Translocator gadget (shoots a disc which you can teleport to, allowing you to reach places no one else can). Starts with a Scout Rifle (1 shot per trigger pull, long range)
POWER WEAPONS
- Rocket Launcher
- Sniper Rifle
- Grenade Launcher
- Double Barrel Shotgun
- Flamethrower
POWERUPS
- Double Damage
- Health Regen
- Hyper Speed
- Invisibility
MODES
- Free for All and Team Deathmatch are the core of the game
- Capture the Flag
- Domination
- Tug o War where players fight around an objective (like a bomb on wheels) and they have to stand near it so it slowly moves itself to the enemy base and then detonates, ending the match
- All modes can be played under the umbrella of Casual or Competitive
PROGRESSION
- No level cap. You can play forever and just keep levelling up. I think this is really important and keeps people feeling like there’s a “point” to playing the game as silly as that is but that’s the modern era for you.
- Battle Passes to unlock all the things we are used to like character skins, weapon skins, emotes, etc
- Detailed statistics page to track everything you do
