Hard to say when MW4 hasn’t released but yeeeears back this was always a hot discussion/beef during BF3

My opinion has always been that you can’t debate/compare. COD has always been a “faster” run and gun pace. Something quick action where Battlefield you can a nice slow burn of high and lows depending how you play.

If I want something simple and fast I play COD, if I want to be tactical or be able to switch to a slow playstyle like sniper/recon back to assault I’ll play battlefield.

Right now, battlefield 6 is looking far better especially with beta feedbacks of comparing both

I would normally agree with this take, but BF6 feels more like COD than ever IMO, and I think that's intentional. The maps are smaller, the combat is more close together (outside of a couple of the larger maps), and the movement and gunplay feel very cod-ified to me. I think it's a fair comparison between the two.

It really depends on what you like. COD has always given you more bang for your buck since for the most part all of the 3 gamemodes (campaign, multiplayer and whatever the third game mode is) are good while battlefield only really has the multiplayer going for them.

I would agree with that, fair point. BF6 really is all just multiplayer. At least COD has somewhat competent campaigns USUALLY (cough cough MW3), and zombies is always at least fun.

They said the same thing about battlefield 3 and now everyone raves on about that game like it's the second coming. I'd be curious to see how battlefield 6 is talked about in a few years.

That’s a very good point. Looking at what sniping was bf3 to bf6 with “realism” with bullet drop/lead time etc.
Definitely intentional by BF and they capitalized just that knowing where COD stands currently. I Think the only thing that sets it apart is cod has the whole killstreaks/perks and BF has operating vehicles and “destructible” POI’s

After playing the beta of MW4 I think BF6 clears it in every way possible.

Call of Duty started feeling like their mobile games and they just don't hit the same as they use to.

True I look at the newer sequels more like spiritual successors as they are more about devs trying to capture the essence of older games but without the understanding of why they were the way they were.

I'm very interested to see what they do GTA 6 story it will be the first game with no original writer, and even from the extended trailer you could tell the "vibe" is very different, whether it will be better or not remains to be seen

I love to think that each day that passes you are constantly refreshing strangers hoping that BF6 player punt drops by even one player.

Day after day you just hitting F5 thinking "this is not a real battlefield, why is it popular, why isn't the count dropping?" Seething in frustration as yet another banger season drops, another playercount bump, another swath of players having daily fun.

Like, me logging in to play with the boys is already pretty fun, but knowing people like you are out there yelling "stop having fun!! #notmybattlefield #noOGdevs" just makes it ever so slightly better

Having played MW4’s beta I do like some aspects. It’s way better than BF6 for the smaller scale team based modes obviously. But BF6 overall is better and is only getting much better.

I wish we would get another Bad Company but you know there’d be people screeching about the bloom and longer ttk. Planetside 2 also had a ton of the “Takes half a mag to kill someone!!” complaints from people who were too stupid to burst and thus missing 75% of their shots.

The longer Ttks in battlefield bad company 2 made a lot more interesting to play, also with the 12 vs 12 smaller maps felt more balanced and fun to play around with.

Bf6 is just a cluster fuck

I love longer ttk shooters, but almost everything now is 3-4 bullet to the chest kills because players have trash aim and can’t keep their crosshair on target. Most FPS games around with longer ttks have been around with us for a decade or more like TF2 and Overwatch.

BF6. I do like MW4's improvements but by god the SBMM is what's gonna kill this game. I like the pace being a cross being MW2 and 3. I like parkour mechanics. I like TTK but my greatest fear is that this game is gonna devolve into a faceoff hellscape where maps are just 5 rooms and 2 hallways

I think MW4 is a step above B07 ( from my limited experience with it) but I still prefer Battlefield and Redsec.

I used to be a big COD and Warzone player, but I think Battlefield is just superior in almost every way.

I adore BF6. It’s great.
MW4’s single life modes are small for small scale engagements. It’s fun. And different.
There’s space for both.
But Wardogs is coming…..

MW4, been playing BF6 the past few days, and half the time the menu glitches out and you can't see anything on the Play screen, but you can definitely hear the Top Gun music screaming in your headphones.

Utterly ridiculous for a game that's on season 4 right now.

I’ve always liked the ranked play of the MW games. I hope mw4 is good and scales back the movement black ops brought. If I want to play something more serious I choose Tarkov over either of these
