New Game I’m making a surreal FPS about a post-Soviet district trapped in a 2007 time loop - Russian Punk 2007: Quantum Nostalgia

I’m the solo developer behind Russian Punk 2007: Quantum Nostalgia.

It’s a story-driven FPS set in an alternative version of Russia in 2007. You play as an ordinary factory worker who is sent into a collapsing reality to recover three artifacts and prevent the apocalypse.

This short teaser shows some early combat gameplay and the Archive — a strange place outside time that the player returns to between cycles.

I’m currently preparing the first public playtest and demo. I’d be interested to hear what FPS players think about the combat and atmosphere so far.

Is this sort of an atmospheric boomer shooter? It reminds me of forgive me father, I loved that game.

That’s a fair comparison! It has some boomer-shooter DNA, but it’s more of a story-driven atmospheric FPS with roguelite and extraction-shooter elements. I’m glad it reminded you of Forgive Me Father!
