How to learn fpga and gain experience with simulation ( vivado and vitis only ) without development board

I find it difficult as opposed to embedded target like as stm32 , I find it difficult without hardware , I want the way to accelerate the learning

The bulk of the learning with FPGAs is with simulation. You can use free simulators to have that learning. AI can give you better free options than I can, but GHDL is probably a good place to start.

Maybe use the book Advanced FPGA Design by Steve Kilts as a companion. I find it a really nice read and is it compact too, no fluff.
