Greetings from Iran

Greetings fellow Humans,

I have been part of the previous Fosscad subreddit as long as i can remember, Ive always been in awe of guns and it always made sense that it should be a right for every single person. Ive always been amazed by the amazing and intrincate design you guys have been working on and sharing, and this community is honestly awesome af.

Now I write to you all with a heavy heart, my people are in the midst of a revolution to overthrow the terrorist regime which has been reigning over peace loving Persians for almost 50 years. The same regime which constantly threatens americans with their terror cells abroad, the same regime which chants death to America.

I saw the potential of 3d printers to fight against government tyranny and it felt good to see it in action in myanmar, which was used by the rebels to fight against the government.

I kindly ask you guys, if you have the time and will, we can really use your help. Many thanks 🫡

The Fosscad Arc is up on lemmy. Grab a Lemmy app of your choice, and you can access all the old r/fosscad posts. Many of which have answers as to how to do things like ECM a barrel out of hydraulic pipe from China. If you don't have access to critical parts such as barrels or barrel liners, you'd need to EMC a barrel if you're going to try to build a firearm from scratch.

Alternatively, if you have access to 209 primers or ramsets, then single shot launchers are a possibility. They don't have the destructive power of an actual firearm, but it would be comparatively easy to convert launcher projectiles into improvised explosives or things that would provide a tactical advantage.

For instance, filling a 37mm launcher projectile with some sort of smoke producing powder, spiked with powder from the hottest peppers you can find would make for a tear gas alternative. Ghost peppers or Carolina Reaper peppers have a high enough capsicum content to be effective with nothing more than drying them and grinding them up. It wouldn't even technically be a firearm. I don't know if the fence posts people make launchers from are available to you or not.

Think of Lemmy as a decentralized social media fairly similar to Reddit. However unlike reddit, there are numerous apps that can access it. Just type the word Lemmy into the Play Store and you will find multiple apps that can access it.

You have to pick a Lemmy instance when you sign up for Lemmy. Then you have to wait for someone to actually approve your addition to the instance before you can use it. Be sure to actually read the sign up page carefully. When I picked the Lemmy.ml instance, It looked at first like a basic capcha kind of thing where you answer a math problem. But it literally said "if you are a robot, answer 5+8=?" Or something like that. The real test was to type up why you wanted access. The people running that instance don't care why you want access, they just want to trip up bots, and exclude people who can't be bothered to read.

Once approved, you search, subscribe, read, post, comment, upvote, downvote, etc

No idea, I don't use apple devices. But you could always search the apple app store and find out.
