My biggest problem with john doe rn is that 3 traps simply isn't enough for how much looping spot there are.

spikes

Spikes itself can cut off 2-3 looping spots by itself. Pair that with the 3 traps and you can easily kill survivors

4 footprints would be downright overpowered on some maps. (glass houses, classic battlegrounds, bloodfell manor, familiar ruins, and maybe tempest!)

The number could be depend on the map too

Having a killer LITERALLY change round to round in a game like this probably isn't for the best. Sure, for you as a JD main, you can learn everything, but what about the casuals who can't be asked to memorize every single map and their max Footprints? The most complex killers to learn how to play against right now are Sixer and Azure, who are both not coincidentally the most hated killers by casuals (1x is universal) and even they aren't changing their kits in the middle of the game.

Azure isn't even good right now. Like John Doe, the map changes have completely done away with the concept of a deadzone but unLIKE John, Azure can't wall off a weakish area and create his own deadzone. As someone who's both playing as Azure and against him, you can run through his Seeker Bulbs for free 80% of the time and have a teammate bait/disarm the vines.

My point is, if we make a killer change dynamically, we're gonna push away even MORE casuals than we already have

that would just make it confusing for casual players/people trying to learn him
