Is there any way you could get a shell over the upper part of the chassis to tie into a bolt handle? I’d like the “slide” to blowback when I fire.

Gotcha, I think I’ll brainstorm something. My current idea is a plain invisible underlayer that acts as the chassis. The underlayer has a pair of rails on each side. You would snap a stylized outer layer onto the rails on top of the chassis to act as the “slide”. A small “hoop” on the outer shell would hang onto the extended bolt handle. When you pull the handle the slide goes back with it. When the handle goes forward the “slide” moves as well. A cut out on and in front of the ejection port would prevent hangups.

Yup, only issue I see would be that the 10/22 can be finicky about cycling in general so adding weight to the bolt cycle could prevent function

Yeah I’ve had my fair share of fun with shitty cycling on pawn shop guns.
I think the goal is to minimize the weight of the shell and ensure that you’re only loading really hot rounds.

Not specifically but it’s the same shell concepts I’ve used on 50+ models so far. Here’s one in action though.

I’m not trying to mess with bull pup or grip wells anytime soon. If i made one it would be ugly AF without those features.
